GUWAHATI, Jan 12 � A meeting convened by Forest Minister Rockybul Hussain on Sunday assessed Kaziranga National Park�s security, and � besides seeking the Army�s involvement in patrolling � also resolved to launch a joint patrolling by Assam Police personnel, Assam Forest Protection Force (AFPF) and forest staff with immediate effect.
The joint patrolling, under the command of the Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kaliabor, will be undertaken with immediate effect, an official release said.
