Jamiat takes out rally against ISIS

GUWAHATI, Nov 18 - Along with the rest of the country, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind took out a rally in the city in protest against the recent terror attacks in Paris by ISIS-affiliated terrorists.

The rally, organised under the aegis of the Assam State committee of the Jamiat, started from the organisation�s head office at Friend�s Path in Hatigaon and culminated at Hatigaon High School.

People from various walks of life participated in the rally.

Later, in a statement to the media, State secretary of the organisation Hafiz Bashir Ahmed Kasimi said no religion sanctions killing of innocents.

The Jamiat has called for united effort to defeat the ISIS and other forces representing terrorism.
