SILCHAR, March 4 - Members of All Cachar Karimganj Hailakandi Students Association (ACKHSA) have alleged anomalies in the conduct of HSLC examination in Cachar district.

In a meeting with additional deputy commissioner Ranadeep Dam, who is in charge of looking after the education scene in the district, the ACKHSA chief advisor Rupam Nandi Purakaystha and convener Biswajit Dev said that principal of Government Boys HS School engaged Abdul, son of Fakaruddin, a fourth grade employee of the school as a proxy employee for the past four years to carry out activities of HSLC examination.

In a release issued to the media, Biswajit Dev said that Fakaruddin has been suffering from paralysis for the past four years.

We visited the school and found that the proxy employee was doing vital duties such as carrying the questions and answer-sheets of the examination as well as packing the answer-sheets after the examination. We have placed demands before the district administration to intervene in this matter at the earliest, convener of the student body said.
