DIMAPUR, Oct 3 - Paying homage and tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani inaugurated the Mahatma Gandhi Academy for Human Development (MHAHD) at Chuchuyimlang in Mokok-chung district on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Irani said both Gandhi and Shastri defined India not only as a nation but as a sea of humanity to the rest of the world.
Elaborating on Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Irani urged the youth to avail the scheme to start own business saying that a total of Rs 1.22 lakh crore under three categories would be distributed as loan under it.
