GUWAHATI, Oct 5 � The State unit of the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) has said in a statement here recently that a meeting of the State units of the central trade union organisations � INTUC, AITUC, CITU, AIUTUC and the AICCTU, among others � has decided on a jail bharo programme on November 8 next.
The call for the programme was given by the September 7 New Delhi convention of the national trade unions.
The meeting of the State units of the central trade unions also decided to hold a State-level trade union convention in the city on October 23. The meeting called upon all the trade unions in the State to make both the October 23 and November 8 programmes successful.
The next meeting of the central trade unions will be held again on October 7 at 10 am at the INTUC State office here.
