GUWAHATI, Oct 8 - An international group exhibition, organised as part of the ongoing multidisciplinary event �Varna � a 50 days� dip into arts�, got under way at the State Art Gallery today.
The exhibition was inaugurated by noted artist Benu Misra at 5 pm.
Over a hundred works by artists from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar, Korea and California, apart from Indian artists, are on display at the show.
From October 10, an international workshop will also get under way, where four invited artists from Korea, Indian contemporary artists Vilas Shinde and Jinshook Shinde, besides three artists from Assam � Kandarpa Sarma, Benu Misra and Noni Borpuzari � will take part. The 50-day event will finally come to a close at 7 pm on October 12, a press release said.
