NORTH LAKHIMPUR, June 21 - International Yoga Day was observed across Lakhimpur district with mostly yoga sessions held inside individual homes.
As the day is being observed this time on the theme �Yoga from Home� due to the prevailing restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, individuals and members of organisations took part in yoga sessions in various venues.
The National Cadets Corps (NCC) here observed the day by organising open-air yoga sessions on the banks of the Ranganadi river.
Maintaining strict social distancing norms, the NCC cadets of 72 Assam Girls (Independent) Company and 8 Assam NCC Battalion comprising students of various colleges in North Lakhimpur participated in the yoga sessions.
Led by Commanding Officer of NCC, Colonel Jasbir Singh Cheema, the NCC cadets also organised various cultural programmes in order to mark the occasion.
