NUMALIGARH, June 25 - The 17th Installation Ceremony of the Lions Club of Numaligarh was held at Kaliyani Club of NRL Township here recently, stated a release.
Dr Animesh Barua, former District Governor of Lions Club, District 322 D was the installation officer who administered oath to the new committee members. Lion Pranab Kumar Sarma, a chartered member of the club became the new president for the Lionistic year 2016-17. Lion Alpana Barua and Lion Debashish Choudhury are the new secretary and treasurer of the club respectively. The club is consisting of officers from Numaligarh Refinery Ltd, doctors from Vivekananda Kendra, NRL Hospital and teachers from Delhi Public School, Numaligarh. The club has taken up various social works in its vicinity since 2000 and adopted one village at Ahom Gaon Chuburi in Bokakhat
