GUWAHATI, Aug 18 - �It is the responsibility of the government to create an enabling environment in the State by providing robust infrastructure for competitive examinations like the Civil Services and it is encouraging to see the initiative Mission-100 of North East Institute of Advanced Studies (Northeast-IAS) which aims to produce 100 civil servants from Assam in a five-year period.�

Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi stated this while taking part in the monthly debate Manthan organised by Northeast IAS on the topic �My Independent India�, recently.

Director of Northeast-IAS Sankar Ray also spoke on the occasion.
