Indian swimmers sizzle at Asian meet

NEW DELHI, Oct 10 (PTI): Indian swimmers sizzled at the 7th Asian age group swimming championship with all of them qualifying for the finals in their respectice events on the first day at Jakarta today.

India has so far won two gold and three bronze medals. Sandeep Sejwal won the gold in the 50m breast stroke with a timing of 28:36s. Veerdhaval Khade also won the gold medal in the 100m butterfly stroke clocking 54:86s. Surabhi Tipre won the bronze in the 400m free style in the girls open group after clocking 04:26:07, while Saurabh Sangvekar too bagged the bronze medal in the 200m free style Boys group clokcing 01:52:77.
