Indian insurgent group’s HQ raided, 18 deadly weapons recovered in B'desh

By The Assam Tribune

Agartala, March 4: The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has dug out as many as eighteen rocket launchers concealed in Bangladesh’s Satchari National Forest of Habigunj district, according to sources.

It is suspected that the arms belong to the outlawed All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) who might have kept the deadly weapons underground with plastic wrapper. The area from where these weapons were recovered is located only one and half km inside from the Indo-Bangla Border in Khowai subdivision yesterday.

Based on specific inputs, BGB had launched a massive operation in the headquarters of banned outfit-ATTF on Tuesday evening that continued till yesterday. Colonel SMS Samiunnabi Choudhury of 55 Bn BGB told the reporters that there is no mark on the weapons about where these were made but have similarity with the weapons recovered from the area earlier by RAB.

He said it is believed that the weapons were used by the Indian insurgent group ATTF who had their headquarters at Satchari area and they were masters in digging bunkers and keeping weapons. Earlier the RAB raided in this area six times and recovered a huge cache of weapons. Subscription notice and other documents of the ATTF also were found earlier in this area.
