GUWAHATI, June 23 � The impact of the yesterday�s incident of the tripping of the 400 KV link line between the Eastern Region and the Northeastern Regional Grid is yet to be over.
According to sources in the Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB), there existed a shortfall of around 225 MW of power in the State during the
peak-load-hours today. Normally, the shortfall used to be restricted within 134 MW to 150 MW. But with yesterday�s development, a shortfall of 75 MW has been added to it.
The State is generating 234 MW to 250 MW of power at present, against its total installed capacity of 354 MW.
Moreover, the State is also receiving power from the Ranganadi Hydel Project of the NEEPCO. Yesterday it received around 150 MW of power from this north bank power project of the NEEPCO, said the sources.
