IIE celebrates foundation day

GUWAHATI, April 8 - The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, celebrated its 24th foundation day on the IIE campus recently.

Manoj K Das, Director, IIE, along with faculty members and other staff and officials of the institute, attended the function. Shailendra Chaudhury, Managing Director of North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCoRMP), was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme started with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, the Director and others.

Chaudhury, in his address, urged the IIE members to work cohesively and take IIE to further heights. Jiten Chandra Kalita, AFM & AO (i/c), and a few others shared their experiences with the audience and spoke about the present and future challenges.

AK Baruah, AFM, remembered the contributions made by Dr DD Mali, founder Director of the Institute, who had envisioned the path to be followed by the IIE.

Manoj K Das shared his experience of his tenure with the institute. He said the institute is on a firm financial footing and has a great brand value, which could be leveraged to increase the sphere of its influence.

He further stated that more than 19 projects are being implemented at the moment and there is enough work left for the next two to three years.
