GUWAHATI, Sept 24 - Idd-uz-Zuha, the festival of sacrifice of Muslims, will be observed in the State along with the rest of the country with religious fervour and traditional gaiety tomorrow.
In the city, mosques and idgahs have geared up for the purpose. The festival will be celebrated at the Machkhowa Idgah centrally which witnesses the biggest Idd congregation of the devout. In Guwahati, the occasion will be observed at the mosques and idgahs at Athgaon, Lakhtokia, Jalukbari, Garigaon, Sijubari, Pub Guwahati, Dispur, Panjabari, Ulubari, Gandhibasti, etc.
The congregation prayers are scheduled to take place from 8 am to 8.30 am.
Governor PB Acharya has greeted the people on the occasion of Idd-uz-Zuha.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi also extended warm greetings to the people of Assam on the occasion of Idd-uz-Zuha.
