GUWAHATI, April 18 - The 26th All Assam Inter District Tennis Championship will be held at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex in Chachal here from April 20.
The tournament has been organised by the North East Tennis Foundation (NETF), Dispur. Eight district teams including Sivasagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Nagaon, Dhemaji, Guwahati, Silchar and NF Railway will feature in the championship.
The events to be played are � boys and girls U-14 and 18 years and men�s. The finals of the tournament will be held on April 22.
The tournament will be inaugurated by the Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Pabitra Ram Khound at 9am on April 20.
An organising committee has been formed to conduct the tournament smoothly with Nabin Chandra Sarma as chairman, Digantajyoti Gogoi as organising secretary, Gautam Kalita as tournament director and Bedanta Buragohain as the chief referee, stated a NETF press release issued by secretary Ankush Dutta.
