IMPHAL, Oct 11 - Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh on Saturday said that the State Government is planning to enact a law in the State to counter attacks on doctors by the patient�s party.
This was stated by Ibobi while inaugurating the two-day 20th Annual Conference of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) Manipur State Chapter � ASIMANICON 2015 under the theme �Early Diagnosis and Treatment� here today.
Manipur Parliamentary Secretary Victor Keishing speaking as guest of honour in the function appealed to the doctors to help the government in bringing peace and harmony in the State.
ASI Manipur State Chapter president Prof S Rajendra Singh, who presided over the function, urged the State Government to create necessary infrastructure for organ transplant in the State.
KYKL cadre arrested: Troops of 45 Assam Rifles established a vehicle check post in general area Nongda and apprehended one Kanglei Yayol Kanna Lup (KYKL) cadre on Friday, Assam Rifles said in a press release.
