IMPHAL, March 20 � The three senior-most Congress leaders � Gaikhangam, Th Debendra and Phunzathang Tonsing have been alloted their portfolios. The Home portfolio which Ibobi had held in the last two terms has been given to Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee President Gaikhangam.
Senior-most legislator Thoudam Debendra elected from Jiribam for the seventh term in the recent polls retains Revenue, Law and Legislative Affairs and General Administrative department portfolios. Ibobi will continue to hold the charge of Personnel, Finance, etc.
Phunzathang who retained the Churachandpur seat for the sixth term has been given Health and Family Welfare. Meanwhile, the Manipur Assembly session began yesterday.
