I still want to fall in love: Dr Hazarika

GUWAHATI, June 29 � The romance that epitomised creation of innumerable evergreen numbers is still vibrant in musical icon Dr Bhupen Hazarika�s heart, something that seem to put even the age-factor behind.

�I still want to fall in love and have a lot of future plans to work on. I have even penned a new poem,� quipped Dr Hazarika during a candid interaction programme at the GNRC hospitals premises at Six Mile area.

The Dada Saheb Phalke award winner who visited the GNRC hospital to take stock of the patients being treated there will leave for Mumbai tomorrow.

Asked to give his message for the people of the State before leaving for Mumbai, the living legend said: �May peace prevail in the State and each one of you remain happy as you are.�

He also sang couple of songs with flawless diction for the gathering.

He also offered his gratitude to the management of the GNRC hospital for its decision to set up another hospital in North Guwahati.

�The people of North Guwahati have been deprived for long and it is a noble gesture. Let us all work together for the welfare of the society,� he said.

Dr Hazarika also wished all the patients in the hospital quick recovery. Filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi and singer Manisha Hazarika were also present on the occasion.

Dr NC Borah, managing director, GNRC, said that Dr Hazarika expressed his desire to visit the hospital which was inaugurated in his presence.
