GUWAHATI, March 15 - Guwahati Chess Association will organise the 40th All Assam Inter District Chess Championship (U-11, U-7 boys and girls) on behalf of the All Assam Chess Association at South Point School here from March 29 to April 2.
Around 150 players from different districts are expected to participate in the championship. The Assam teams for the national U-11 and U-7 will be picked from this championship.
The prospectus for the tournament is already sent to the affiliated districts and recognised academies of All Assam Chess Association. Affiliated district chess associations and recognised academies have to send their team list to the organising body before March 25, stated a release.
