HP take lead against Assam

TINSUKIA, Oct 18 - Himachal Pradesh took a 37-run first innings lead against Assam in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy U-23 Cricket Championship.

On the second day of the four-day encounter at the Katchujan Field here today, in reply to Assam�s first innings total of 191, the visiting team, resuming at 100 for four, were all out for 228.

At stumps, Assam were 68 for two.

For Himachal Ankit Kalsi (41) was the top scorer while Mani Sharma (30), Akash Vashisht (29), Priyanshu Khanduri (26), Dheeraj Kumar (26), Ekant Sen (22) were the other useful contributors.

For Assam, Rajjakuddin Ahmed (5/69) was the chief wicket taker.
