JORHAT, April 5 - Doyen of the tea industry in the State, Late Hemendra Prasad Barooah�s 90th birthday was observed here recently by the officials of his B&A Group by distributing fruits and many other essential items among the students of Jorhat Blind Institution, School for Hearing Impaired and Dagaon Orphanage.
In memory of Barooah, the company officials, students and teachers of Jorhat Blind School lit candles and organised a reminiscential meeting on the school premises.
�He will forever remain a vital source of inspiration for all of us. We have been observing his birthday on April 1 at Jorhat with such programmes,� said Gautam Bhattachargee, a senior official of the company.
