By Correspondent

HAFLONG, April 8 In protest against the bomb blast at the residence of L Neisang Khozol, president Muolhoi, on March 31 last, and demanding immediate arrest of culprits, the Hmar Inpui, Hmar Students Association, Hmar Youth Association etc. organised a protest rally at Haflong recently.

Hundreds of people took out a silent procession from Muolhoi which marched to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao, Haflong.

They also submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao, Haflong detailing the incident and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits, and to arrange adequate compensation to the damage caused by the blast.

It was stated in the memorandum that the Hmar community have no other stronger words to condemn the terror-design of the bomb blast on March 31 last in the residence of L Neisang Khawzawl, president, Muolhoi Village Committee, Muolhoi.

The Hmar communities all over India feel that it was, and still is a threat to their community. The Hmars in NC Hills in particular feel that their safety and security were at stake. The evil design was to create some fear psychosis and communal tension. As loyal and abiding citizens, we want peace and tranquillity among every tribe in this tiny and backward district.
