IMPHAL, July 26 � The Hmar Students� Association (HSA) has expressed deep concern over the on-going violence in the Kokrajhar district of Assam as the death toll has crossed 40.
There has been an escalation of ethnic violence between the Bodo tribals and Muslim community in Lower Assam since last week. The ethnic violence has already resulted in the loss of many lives, destruction of property, uprooting of many homes and displacing thousands of persons, said Hmar students� body publicity secretary Lalremlien Neitham.
