GUWAHATI, June 19 � The condition of eminent poet Hiren Bhattacharya who has been undergoing treatment at the Dispur Hospital since June 14 was stated to be critical today.
Bhattacharya has been under ventilation since 12 last night. A team of doctors from the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital is also attending him.
Bhattacharya was admitted to the hospital with lung infection and other complications.
The State Government today extended Rs 50,000 for his treatment, an official release said.
