ITANAGAR, June 25 - A Himalayan black bear cub was rescued in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh and handed over to the Forest authorities for rehabilitation.
Oset Tasing from Boleng in the district rescued the cub from her agriculture field on Thursday, Forest officials said today.
The Himalayan Black Bear (Ursus thibetanus) is an endangered sub-species of the Asiatic Black Bear. It is a medium-sized, sharp-clawed, black-coloured bear with a light brown muzzle and a pale yellow crescent on the chest. � PTI
