Health, relief camp among flood victims

GUWAHATI, Aug 6 - A joint team from the Viswa Hindu Parishad Guwahati Mahanagar Samity; Hindustan Scouts & Guides, Lokhra and Milon Sangha, Rehabari; supported by Seva Bharati, Purbanchal, organised a health camp for the flood-hit people of Gerua, Hajo on Sunday and distributed relief materials among the flood victims, according to a press release issued here. The relief team, led by Santi Kumar Singha, Nabajyoti Dutta and Tarun Das, distributed packaged drinking water, rice, cheera and clothes among the flood victims.

About 180 people were checked for health-related issues at the camp by a team of doctors from the Govt Ayurvedic College, Jalukbari that included Dr Arnav Barman, Dr Matiur Rahman and Dr Amit Hassan. Retired joint director of health services Dr PN Narzary also accompanied the doctors� team.

Donation to CM�s Relief Fund: Meanwhile, Natco Pharma Ltd, a Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical company, today donated Rs 5 lakh to the Chief Minister�s Relief Fund.
