GUWAHATI, Jan 9 � The Gauhati High Court pulled up the Criminal Investigation Department of Assam Police in the journalist Anil Mazumdar murder case stating that the investigators did not pursue one of the very important leads during the course of the investigation.
The Court, which had already directed the State Government to hand over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation on January 6, found that the investigating agency virtually completed the investigation process following the �murder of one of the suspects and that appears to be a sheer escapade and a strange way to draw curtain over the investigation�.
