GUWAHATI, May 9 � Haryana emerged as the best team in the 40th All India Electricity Sports Control Board�s Athletic Meet which concluded at the SAI Regional Sub-Centre complex here today. Karnataka became the first runners-up while Punjab team bagged the third spot. Suresh Kumar of Haryana was adjudged as the best athlete of the meet.
Assam�s Biswajit Boro, who won the gold medal in long jump yesterday, won bronze medals in 100 and 200m. In the closing function, KV Eapen, chairman APDCL/AEGCL/APGCL was the chief guest and gave away the prizes. The three-day meet was organised by the Assam State Electricity Board.
