Hanumat Katha from today

GUWAHATI, March 20 � Shree Hari Satsang Samiti (Purvottar) in association with Shree Krishna Seva Nidhi Pune is organising the Hanumat Katha fromMarch 21 to 27 at the Gauhati Goushala campus here.

Informing this, a press release stated here today that Ekal Abiyan under the banner of Friends of Tribals Society is imparting basic education, health education, village development education, empowerment education along with Sanskar knowledge to tribal children all across the country and Shree Hari Satsang Samity which is an extended arm of Friends of Tribals Society is taking care of Sanskar.

�In the ancient times when the entire world was devoid of education, India was the country to enlighten the whole world with education and culture of which Takshshila and Nalanda Universities are prime examples.

In spite of such rich heritage and culture, today�s youth of our country is more attracted towards western culture which is a very concerning factor. Shree Hari Satsang Samiti is doing a commendable job for the past 25 years in bringing closer today�s youth to our own culture and heritage and currently it is working in 3780 villages in the North East,� the release added.

Shree Hanumat Katha will be presented by Sant Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj (Acharya Kishor Vyas). In this Katha, 62 kathakars of Shree Hari Satsang Samiti of North East who have been duly trained in Ayodhya and Vrindavan will also participate along with students of Manipur Ved Vidyalaya. Apart from North East, people from across the country like Kolkata, Siliguri and Delhi will be present here to attend the Katha.

Pujya Swami Govinddev Giri established Gita Parivar in the year 1986 in Sangamner (Maharashtra). In the past 28 years the work of Gita Parivar has spread all across the country.

Bal Sanskar Camps along with surya namaskar, yogsopan, bal bhagavat, etc., having given a new direction in sanskar by Gita Parivar. The publishing division of Gita Parivar has so far released 29 books and nine CDs.

Swami Govinddev Giri, who earlier organised Hanumat Katha under the banner of Shree Hari Satsang Samiti in Mumbai and other parts of the country, will present Hanumat Katha for the first time here, the release further said.
