HAILAKANDI, May 25 - With pass percentage of 89.85 percent in the Science stream in the Higher Secondary final exams, Hailakandi has registered approximately three per cent more than the State�s overall pass percentage of 86.59.
Disclosing this, Inspector of Schools Rajiv Kumar Jha said here today that Hailakandi has secured 9th position among 33 districts of Assam in the Science stream with a pass percentage of 89.85, which is approximately three per cent above the State�s overall percentage.
In the Commerce and Arts streams, the district registered 70.38 and 61.91 pass percentage respectively.
Of the 611 candidates who appeared in the Science stream, 549 came out successful with 277 securing first division, 245 second division and 27 third division.
In the Commerce stream, out of the total 287 candidates, 202 passed, with 34 obtaining first division, 76 second division and 92 third division. Altogether, 2791 candidates who appeared in the Arts stream, 1,728 passed the exam, with 153 placed in first division, 502 in second division and 1,073 in third division.
MHCM Junior Science College topped the list with 100 per cent success. Deputy Commissioner, Keerthi Jalli extended her heartiest greetings to those who came out successful in the HS exams and wished them all a bright career ahead.
