Hagrama to contest from Deborgaon

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 9 � The Bodoland People�s Front (BPF) today formally announced the names of its 12 candidates for the forthcoming BTC elections. Senior leader of BPF and Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary this evening announced the names of the party candidates for the 12 Council seats at a special delegates� meeting at Bodofa Cultural Compelx in Kokrajhar.

BPF supremo Hagrama Mohilary has been named as the BPF candidate for the Debargaon seat and for the Chirangduar seat, Kampa Borgoyari, the present Deputy Chief of BTC, has been named as the party candidate.

The other 10 candidates are � Sobha Ram Basumatary for Kachugaon, James Basumatary for Nichima, Subash Basumatary for Manas Serphang, Gautam Das for Mothanguri, Ganesh Kochary for Suklai Serphang, Pabitra Boro for Goreswar, Lwmsrao Daimary for Khairabari, Ripen Daimary for Bhairabkunda and Derhasat Basumatary for the Salakati seat.

The decision was taken during a marathon meeting of the party�s executive committee here at Bofofa Cultural Complex.

It may be mentioned that the list of candidates for the remaining 26 BTC seats will be declared at Borma on February 16 next.
