Hagrama seeks arrest of Chapaguri MLA

KOKRAJHAR, Dec 31 � BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary has demanded immediate arrest of Chapaguri MLA Hitesh Basumatary for his alleged involvement in the incident of gunfiring on Saturday evening at Musalpur in Baska district.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mohilary said that MLA Basumatary should be arrested by the police as he was involved in the incident of firing at Musalpur which occurred on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, the BTC chief distributed cheques of Rs 22,700 to each of 31 riot-affected families at a function held at Takaimari village under Bilasipara subdivision in Dhubri district.

The programme was attended by Pradip Kr Brahma, MLA and Doneswar Goyari, MCLA, BTC among others.
