Hagrama calls for early release of Ranjan Daimary

KOKRAJHAR, Jan 6 � In his reaction to the release of ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa to expedite the peace process with the banned outfit, Hagrama Mohilary, chief of the BTC, made a case for the early release of Ranjan Daimary, chairman of the NDFB, for peace talks with the Government.

Talking to media persons at Kokrajhar recently, Mohilary said that the Government has clearly indicated free passage to the ULFA leaders for holding talks in the interest of peace and lasting solution to the problem of ULFA for which he is hopeful of an amicable solution.

At the same time, he said that the Government should also come out with a offer for the release of the NDFB chairman for lasting solution to the Bodo tangle.
