Hagrama addresses rally at Kalaigaon for BJP candidate

KALAIGAON, April 12 - BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary along with other top BPF leaders attended a huge election rally at Kalaigaon on Wednesday in support of BJP candidate Dilip Saikia for 8 Mangaldai HPC seat.

More than 5000 people attended the BPF-BJP-AGP combined rally which was held at the Kalaigaon College playground at 2:30 pm.

Speaking on the occasion, the BTC Chief appealed to the people to vote for BJP candidate Saikia. According to him, people of BTAD have been greatly benefited under BJP governments, both at the Centre and in the State.

BPF leader and RS Member Biswajit Daimari, while requesting people to vote in favour of the BJP, compared UPPL party with a dustbin.

It may be mentioned here that ABSU has offered support to UPPL candidate Pradeep Kumar Daimari in Mangaldai HPC.

In the last parliamentary elections in 2014, BJP candidate Ramen Deka enjoyed massive support of the Bodo people to defeat Congress candidate Kirip Chaliha with a narrow margin of nearly 22,884 votes.

BJP candidate Dilip Saikia, while addressing the election rally, compared AGP, BJP and BPF with Brahma, Bishnu and Maheshwar.

He said that the combined power of these three parties will destroy Congress for good. The election rally was anchored by Maheswar Boro, Kalaigaon MLA and addressed by several top BPF leaders.
