Guwahati trade fair from tomorrow

GUWAHATI, Jan 29 � The 21st edition of International Guwahati Trade Fair (IGTF) will begin from January 31 and will continue till February 16 at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre near Balaji Temple at Betkuchi.

The fair will be inaugurated in the presence of Ahmad Tariq Karim, High Commissioner of Bangladesh in India at 3 pm.

Apart from providing a platform to the entrepreneurs and business houses to boost trade, IGTF which is synonymous with infotainment will host professional wrestling for the first time in the history of India.

Four very prominent pro-wrestlers associated with TNA and WWF will demonstrate their unbelievable fighting skills during the �American Wrestling Maniax� at the fair.�

The team of four wrestlers from the USA will be led by Sonjay Dutt who is best known for his appearances with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling. Sonjoy will be accompanied by Kevin Mathews, Trent Barreta and a surprise Superstar.

Special passes for the matches will be made available at selected outlets in the city along with fair venue.

The fair is being organized by Industries and Trade Fair Association of Assam (ITFAA) in association with National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), Government of India.

The Bangladesh Pavilion at the fair will house more than 40 most prominent companies from the neighbouring country in association with Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Government of Bangladesh.

The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC) under the name of NE TECHMART pavilion will host more than 100 units from across the country this year.

Some of the other countries that are participating in the fair are Thailand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The National Jute Board (NJB) pavilion will be another attraction in the fair.
