Guwahati trade fair from Jan 29

GUWAHATI, Jan 16 � The 22nd International Guwahati Trade Fair (IGTF) will get under way from January 29 and conclude on February 15 at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre near Balaji Temple at Bethkuchi.

The fair, which is organized by Industries and Trade Fair Association of Assam (ITFAA) in association with National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), will witness many innovative programmes and new participants this year, ITFAA sources said.

The attractions include a special automobile sector along with an international food festival.

This year Rajasthan will be the focus State along with other special pavilions from States like Karnataka, West Bengal, Odissha and other north-eastern States.

Various foreign countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh, Nepal, Egypt, China, Singapore, Myanmar and other neighbouring countries will participate in the fair.

The special automobile sector will cover all the segments of automobiles which include latest models of cars, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, electric vehicles, accessories, commercial vehicles and related services. The National Jute Board (NJB) pavilion, sponsored by the Union Ministry of Textiles will be another attraction in the fair.
