Guwahati Trade Fair ends

GUWAHATI, Feb 16 ��Famous Bangladeshi singer James enthralled the audience during the closing ceremony of the 18th International Guwahati Trade Fair that started on January 28 and concluded on Tuesday.

Organised by the Industries and Trade Fair Association of Assam (ITFAA), the fair attracted a huge crowd on the closing day.

The name of the lucky winner on entry tickets during the show was announced on the occasion.

It needs to be mentioned here that the singer who has earned fame by rendering soul stirring numbers in Bollywood hits like Gangster and Life in a Metro mesmerised the audience singing English, Hindi and Bengali numbers.

�I am taking back with me lots of Assamese folk music CD�s and next time I will try to hum these with you,� he announced before the capacity crowd.

James had performed live for the first time in the Northeast.�

Morever, the organisers informed that Beximco, the business giant from Bangladesh and main sponsor of this year�s Cricket World Cup who participated in the fair has appointed dealers in Assam adding another chapter in the bilateral ties between India and Bangladesh.

�The sourcing show pavilion housing handicraft artisans from across the country witnessed remarkable business,� said the organisers adding that the fair has been able to give a platform to the local entrepreneurs to interact with international buyers.
