GUWAHATI, April 9 - Guwahati took a 122-run first innings lead against Bongaigaon with eight wickets in hand in their quarterfinal league match of the Senior Inter District Cricket tournament.
On the opening day of the two-day match at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara here today, put into bat Bongaigaon were bundled out for a meagre 93 in 39.2 overs in their first innings. In reply, Guwahati were 215 for the loss of two wickets in 45 overs. Hrishikesh Tamuli (96 n.o.) and Riyan Parag (56 n.o.) were at the crease when the stumps were drawn for the day.
For Bongaigaon, Parthajit Baishya was top scorer with 24 while Riyan took four wickets.
