GUWAHATI, Nov 13�� Guwahati won both the men and women titles in the 62nd Stag Sitaram Agarwala Inter District and State Table Tennis Championship.

In the finals played at the Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium here today, the Guwahati men team defeated Dibrugarh 3-2 while its women team downed Sivasagar 3-0. In the sub-junior section, Dibrugarh boys beat Duliajan 3-0 while Guwahati boys and girls outplayed Duliajan and Sivasagar by 3-0 margin for the cadet boys� and girls� titles respectively.

Today the prizes of the first Nagen Hazarika and fifth RG Baruah All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament were presented.

State Minister Rockybul Hussain, OIL DGM SK Rai, former TT player Modalasa Hazarika, ATTA officials Tridib Duvarah, Carfew Roy, Nayanjyoti Sarma were present in the prize distribution ceremony.

The winners and runner-up of the RG Baruah Championship were: Cadet (boys) Judiq BP Gohain (Dul), Himangshu Kalita (Dul), (girls) Trisha Gogoi (Gola), Abrita Bhuyan (Dib). Sub junior (boys) Agniv Bhaskar Gohain (Dib), Manabjyoti Bhuyan (Dib), (girls) Trisha Gogoi (Gola), Parijat Chetia Phukan (Nagaon). Junior (boys) Abhishek Bora (Ghy), Chanakya M Gogoi (Dib), (girls) Jitakhee Mazumdar (Ghy), Trisha Gogoi (Gola). Youth (boys) Salim Zaved (Ghy), Shankab Gautam Baruah (Gola), (girls) Mallika Gogoi (Dul), Kritika Upadhaya (Ghy). Men-Cinku Rajkonwar (Dul), Salim Zaved (Ghy), (women) Kakali Lahkar, Mallika Gogoi (Dul).
