Guwahati int�l short film fest begins today

GUWAHATI, May 1 � Cine buffs will be treated to some highly acclaimed short films from across the globe and country at the Guwahati International Short Film Festival starting from May 2 at 10.30 am. The two-day festival at the auditorium of the Assam State Museum will screen around 50 short films.

The festival will include a competitive section where 12 best short films from the North East will vie for the Golden Rhino, another section will screen award winning short films from all over the world.

The opening film of the festival is Because There are Things We Never Forget by Lucas Figueroa from Spain. The major highlight will be a special screening of the Malayalam anthology film titled Kerala Cafe and directed by a team of 10 directors.
