GUWAHATI, Feb 24 � The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) has given a call for a 12-hour Guwahati bandh from 5 am tomorrow following the death of one of its members, Pranab Boro, in a case of self-immolation today. The KMSS has also decided to observe tomorrow as the day of mourning all over the State.

KMSS president Akhil Gogoi said that the Samiti would take full responsibility of the family of Boro. He said that Boro used to stay in the Janakpur area under Gorchuk Police Station of the city. He hailed from Goreswar area in Kamrup district and had been staying at Janakpur for the past about 20 years and worked as a carpenter.

Gogoi said that 48-year-old Boro left behind his wife and three school-going children-two daughters and one son.

Meanwhile, Boro�s wife lodged an FIR at Dispur Police Station against Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Revenue Minister Prithibi Majhi, holding them responsible for the death of her husband, said the KMSS president.
