GUWAHATI, Oct 27 - Governor PB Acharya has appreciated the implementation of skill development training of Markazul Ma�arif, one of the wings of Ajmal CSR under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana in three districts of Assam, viz., Nagaon, Dhubri and Goalpara.
In an appreciation letter to Badruddin Ajmal, Acharya said skill development is the need of the hour and commended Ajmal�s bold initiative in implementing such training.
Acharya also expressed his happiness at the establishment of a skill development centre called Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Skill Development Centre at Tengakhat College, Dibrugarh which aims at developing the skills of the students of the college as well as the region.
In a letter to the Principal of the college Dr Kiran Hazarika, the Governor said he was sure that the young generation would be highly benefitted from the centre. He congratulated the Principal and added that the Tengakhat College authority deserves appreciation for creating such a facility for the students.
The Governor also appreciated the development of an orchid park at Durgapur village of Kohora in Kaziranga by the KMSS and said it has now come up with two agricultural projects � a lemon orchard at Sarupathar in Golaghat and cultivation and preservation of rare rice seeds in Jorhat.
In an appreciation letter to Akhil Gogoi, adviser, KMSS, he said such initiatives would encourage the young generation to utilise their skills and expertise in those fields. � Staff Reporter
