GUWAHATI, Feb 7 - Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi has congratulated artistes Jagannath Bayan, Ramkrishna Talukdar and Nuruddin Ahmed on being conferred the Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards for the year 2017.
In a statement, Prof Mukhi said the awards to dance exponent Bayan for his contributions in Sattriya dance, Talukdar for contemporary and experimental dance and art director Nuruddin Ahmed for his contributions to creative art form �is an honour� and indeed a matter of pride and prestige for the people of Assam.
Their achievements in the respective fields will definitely be a source of encouragement for the young generation in Assam and outside, the Governor said.
