GU, Oil India sign MoU

GUWAHATI, March 19 - Gauhati University and Oil India Limited (OIL) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to extend the facility of the Technology Incubation Centre at GU as part of the flagship National Programme of Startup India. The MoU was signed at GU.

It may be mentioned that Gauhati University has already constituted a Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) which is working towards fostering industry- academia linkages and formulating an ecosystem for startups and incubators.

GU Registrar Prof Nani Gopal Mahanta signed the MoU on behalf of Gauhati University and Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, OIL Dr Rahul Dasgupta signed it on behalf of Oil India Limited.

The MoU is an outcome of the Industry Academia Interaction Programme held at Gauhati University in April, 2018 at the initiative of OIL CMD Utpal Bora and GU Vice Chancellor Dr Mridul Hazarika.
