GU Inter College Youth Festival from today

JALUKBARI, Sept 16 - The Gauhati University Inter College Youth Festival 2017 will be held during September 17-20 in the university campus under the Gauhati University Sports Board. It will be organised by the Post Graduate Students Union 2016-17 batch.

The four-day festival will showcase the talents of around 700 participants from more than 100 colleges affiliated to Gauhati University. The best three prize winners in each event from all the four zones will participate in the central Youth Festival. The zonal festivals have already been successfully completed at Biswanath College, Karmashree Hiteswar Saikia College, Tihu College and Bilasipara College.

In the inaugural ceremony, the Gauhati University flag will be hoisted by GU Vice Chancellor Dr Mridul Hazarika, while the GU Sports Board flag will be hoisted by Dr Ranjan Kr Kakati, Director, Students� Welfare, Gauhati University and Secretary, GU Sports Board. The PGSU flag will be hoisted by its president Sanjib Talukdar.
