GUWAHATI, April 1 � Gauhati Town Club Cricket Centre trounced Mangaldai DSA by 103 runs in the inaugural match of the Maharshi Bora Trophy Invitational Cricket tournament, organised by the Gauhati Town Club, at the Judges� Field here today.
Opting to bat first the host team amassed 193 for nine in the stipulated 35 overs. In reply the mangaldai boys were bundled out for 90.
Altogether six teams-Guwahati CCC, Bud CC, River Rine Club, City CCC, Mangaldai DSA and host GTC Cricket Centre have been given entry in the meet.
The tournament has been organised in memory of former state player Maharshi Bora who was also a leading member of GTC.
