TURA, Feb 17 � Taking exception to the comments regarding uninterrupted power supply for the period of the Cricket World Cup by Power Minister Clement Marak, the Garo Students� Union, Songsak unit in East Garo Hills, has demanded an apology from the minister to the student community.

In a release from the unit, Songsak GSU president Sengbreez N Marak said, �We strongly condemn the irresponsible comments made by the Power Minister. The comments made by him on uninterrupted power supply for the Cricket World Cup is a wrong choice of comments by him.

�He should have rather said, �No power cut during exam time�. His comments have hurt the whole student community. We therefore urge the minister to apologize for his irresponsible comment to the whole student community within the State,� added Marak.
