KOKRAJHAR, Oct 31 � Green Valley Sports Club, Guwahati, defeated Barhunka Athletic Club, Kokrajhar, 3-2 to lift the 14th Bodoland Martyrs Gold Cup Football Championship title at the Kokrajhar District Sports Association playground.
For Green Valley, Michael Lucky, Dabindar Sing and Apurba Phukan scored one goal each in the 3rd, 9th and 31st minutes respectively while for Barhunka Athletic Club, Simang scored two goals in the 27th and 55th minutes.
BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary handed over the winners trophy along with a cash award of Rs 50,000 to the winning team while BTC Sports & Youth Welfare EM and president of the Kokrajhar District Sports Association Mono Kr Brahma presented the runners-up trophy.
Mukati Mushahary of Barhunka Athletic Club, Kokrajhar, bagged the best player of the tournament award.
