GUWAHATI, July 12 Green Valley Sports Club earned a deserving 2-0 victory against Dynamo Club in the final quarterfinal match of the Premier Agro Bio-Tech NN Bhatta Football Tournament.

Displaying a compact game at the Nehru Stadium here today, Green Valley virtually outplayed a rusty looking Dynamo. The margin could have bigger had their strikers George Prince and Micheal Lucky Kelechukwu not missed a couple of easy scoring opportunities.

George drew first blood in the 26th minute anticipating a square pass from Gaiham Rongmei. In the second session, displaying good team work, Micheal enhanced the margin in the 60th minute. George sent a through to Gaiham who set the ball for Micheal who deflected the ball into the empty net keeping his cool. It was good understanding among the frontliners.

Both Micheal and George combined well to shatter the Dynamo defence which looked quite ordinary. Dynamo midfielders were also not up to the mark and need to work hard for the forthcoming Super Division. Their captain Abraham Goodluck tried his heart out in quest for a goal but he was bottled up by opponent defenders Maneswar Muchahary and Jonathon Nnamdi.

Dynamo striker Onyebi Nandos Ogbonna was given the marching order in the 72nd minute being booked twice.

Todays match (S/F): GTC vs Maharana
