By Sports reporter

GUWAHATI, Feb 19 Green Valley Sports Club played a goalless draw against Rangdajied United Football Club of Shillong in the U-19 I-League match here at the Nehru Stadium today. It was a home match for the Green Valley team which was mostly dominated by the visitors.

The Shillong boys enjoyed distinct territorial supremacy but failed to beat smart Green Valley goalkeeper Mulya Rabha. Belton Lartang, Banshawlang Suting and Shreen Stevenson Sohktung came very close to scoring but they failed in their respective final attempts. Shillong midfielder Reson Malngiang hit the crosspiece in the 70th minute.

For the host team, Subakhyan Rabha missed the target by a whisker as his shot off a set piece was brilliantly saved by Shillong custodian Sunshine Kharmuti in the 70th minute. In added time, Mulya rescued his team from real danger by making a splendid save off a move made by substitute Donborlang Nongkynrih.

Green Valley will play against Shillong Lajong here on February 25. In the first match, Green Valley were beaten 0-2 by Royal Wahingdoh at Shillong.
